A man died in a flat fire in Homerton last night.
Crews were called to the property in Daley Street, off Barnabas Road near Homerton station, at 6.55pm. Part of the flat was on fire and one man who was inside died at the scene.
Ten firefighters from Homerton station dealt with the blaze and had it under control by 8.20pm. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
