A man is in “critical condition” in hospital today after a shooting in Stoke Newington last night (Thursday).
Police were called at about 9.30pm when a man, believed to be in his 30s, turned up at an east London hospital with a gunshot wound.
It’s believed the shooting had happened in Jenner Road just ten minutes earlier, and the road is still shut this afternoon as officers from Trident, the Met’s gang unit, investigate the incident.
A Hackney Police spokesman told the Gazette the man has now been transferred to another hospital where he “remains in a critical condition”.
There have been no arrests but inquiries are ongoing, she added.
