Missing Hackney teen found ‘safe and well’

A teenager missing from Hackney has been found safe and well.

Police had been growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of missing 16-year-old Shaheen Bhamjee who had last been seen at around 9am on Saturday February 27 in the Stoke Newington area.

Officers issued an appeal to help trace her on Monday Feburary 29.

Shaheen was found the following day, three days after she disappeared.

Hackney MPS said on social media site Twitter: “Happy to update that missing Shaheen Bhamjee, 16, from Stoke Newington has been found safe and well. Thanks for all you retweets. #Hackney.”
