Social enterprise GLL awarded Social Enterprise Mark

Hackney’s leisure centre operator has received national recognition.

Social enterprise GLL is the UK’s first operator to be awarded the prestigious Social Enterprise Mark, recognising the social benefits it delivers to people and the planet through its leisure facilities.

The Mark is about raising awareness of social enterprises and the benefits they offer.

Founded in 1993 in Greenwich, GLL employs more than 4,000 staff and turns over in the region of 80 million, operating seventy public leisure centres within the M25 area including six in Hackney.
