Stoke Newington youngsters were delighted with their new play area which brought the community together as residents young and old tried out new swings and slides.
Chairman of the Hackney Homes Board, Rupert Tyson MBE, officially opened the play area on the Lordship North estate in Lordship Road last month.
“Play areas are the lifeline on local estates,” he said.
“They allow residents to bring children out for fun and games right on their doorstep and socialise with neighbours.”
