An Old Street consultancy firm has been shortlisted for an award recognising its work within the “green economy”.

Given London is one of nine finalists in the consultancy of the year category at the Edie.net Sustainability Leaders Awards.

Set up in 2009 by former Body Shop worker Becky Willan and David Hawksworth, the firm offers sustainable “brand purpose” deals to clients such as Virgin Media, Aviva, British Gas and John Lewis, creating a social purpose for them aside from the business side of things.

Managing partner Ben Hayman said: “Our process, which uses co-creation to involve our clients as partners in projects, is pretty unique as well as being extremely effective at developing new solutions. It is great for our work to be recognised in this way and is testimony to the reality that in business more and more companies are understanding the value and growth potential afforded by doing good.”
