An Olivier-award winning musical director is helping stage a performance of dance, music and Shakespeare to raise money for a Hackney charity.

Ebb and Flood will take place at St Leonard’s Church in Shoreditch High Street on Saturday in support of Foundation for Change. The charity helps people with histories of addiction to get their lives back on track through psychology courses.

It has been devised by choreographer Maika Klaukien with music from Michael Haslam, director of music at St James’ Piccadilly and musical director for three Olivier Award-winning productions including Matthew Bourne’s Play Without Words.

The event also includes a Shakespeare reading from actress Annabel Leventon, who was in the original production of Hair in 1968.

The performance starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £15, £7 for concessions. Buy on the door or here.
