Olympics come to play at Dalston’s Gillett Square

The spirit of play came to Hackney at the weekend with a free outdoor fitness festival in Gillett Square.

People of all ages took part in the Spots and Stripes event, organised by Cadbury and Groundwork London, on Saturday afternoon.

The programme aims to get millions of people across Britain and Ireland playing games by the Olympics in London next year.

Activities included boxercise, basketball and futsal – the Brazilian version of five-a-side football – as well as Tai Chi, table tennis and giant games.
