“Dynamic new proposals for the evolution of Hoxton” are being created in a gallery this month – and anyone can change them.

Future Hoxton, an initiative led by William Hodgson, senior teaching fellow at the Bartlett School of Architecture and architect Jan Kattein, has seen a large scale model of the area put on display at Peer in Hoxton Street.

The idea is the model will evolve over the three week stint with locals and workers invited to make changes to it through workshops themed around the home, work and recreation.

William said: “We are committed to full engagement with the Hoxton community on how they would like to see their area develop. Using a real model is a very effective way of doing this, which goes far beyond the current practice of presenting large-scale two-dimensional plans and written policies.”
