Teams responsible for Hackney residents’ safety will talk about their roles at community open day
From members of the Fire Service to domestic violence teams, those charged with keeping Hackney residents safe will be on hand in Stoke Newington on Saturday to give an insight into their work.
The second Hackney Community Safety open day at the Town Hall in Stoke Newington Church Street will feature stalls from the Hackney Police Safer Neighbourhood teams and the Council’s noise nuisance, trading standards, environmental enforcement and community safety teams.
Members of Hackney Youth Parliament will also be present and there will be face painting, music from the Wilton Youth Project and the Gideon Family, a display by the Hackney Police Cadets and children can meet friendly police mascot PSCSO Steve.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm, with free refreshments provided.
