William Lee, 77 years, was last seen leaving his home address in the Stoke Newington area yesterday.
Police are growing increasingly concerned for the safety and welfare of a missing pensioner from Hackney.
He is described as black, 6ft tall and of a medium build, with a greying beard and moustache. He is known to be well-spoken and friendly.
Officers are particularly concerned as William is suffering from the early stages of dementia.
Anyone with information should call the Met by dialling 101.
