Police release e-fit of suspect involved in violent Hackney Wick burglary

This is the face of a man police want to speak to in connection with a violent burglary in Hackney Wick.

A 22-year-old woman was confronted by a gunman outside her home in Merriam Avenue shortly before 1am on Sunday April 10.

The gunman made her lie on the ground as two further suspects entered and attacked a 22-year-old man who was inside the property.

They then went from room to room, finding a 32-year-old man asleep in one of the bedrooms and continuously threatening and beating the victims, before stealing cash and two mobiles phones and making off in a black Ford Fiesta.

There have been no arrests and officers retain an open mind regarding motive.

They want to speak to the suspect shown in this e-fit - a black man with a black or grey beard, aged between 30 and 40 years old.

Anyone with information should call DC Matt Birt on 0207 275 3232, quoting reference CR4609224/11, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
