Sparks are set to fly this November as Hackney Council will host the borough’s first public firework display in more than 10 years.
The dramatic spectacle will light up Clissold Park, Stoke Newington on Saturday, November 8 as part of bonfire night celebrations.
Illuminated stilt and fire walkers, food and drink stalls and an aerialist performing in an eye-watering installation 11 metres off the ground are some of the attractions on the night.
The display will be set to popular classical/chart hits tailored to complement the 20-minute pyrotechnic display.
But the council says the fireworks have been tested by animal welfare experts and chosen so as not to cause distress to the park’s wildlife.

“As well as the fireworks, which will be set to a variety of songs, there will also be a wealth of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
