Rain failed to put a dampener on an estate’s “Right Royal After-Party” on Saturday (June 18).
Residents of Tower Gardens Estate braved the weather to enjoy their third annual Fun Day, which was organized by the Tenants and Residents Association (TRA) and was touted as a way to make the most of the lingering party atmosphere following the royal wedding two months ago.
In between the showers, partygoers enjoyed a barbeque, a bouncy castle, bingo, hook-a-duck and face painting.
TRA committee member Azim Shaikh said: “We had the barbeques fired up and cooking on time despite the sudden and sporadic downpours throughout the day.
“The community got together for a range of activities and events; it truly was a great day. It was a credit to the team who organized and hosted the event after putting a lot of hard work and hours in the planning and the smooth running of the Fun Day.”
