Santa and reindeers set to attend Chatsworth market tomorrow

Chatsworth Road market will be gearing up for festive fun this month with lots of Christmas treats.

One of the star attractions will reindeers Dasher and Dancer complete with Santa and sleigh, which will making a guest appearance for the first time on December 15.

Santa’s grotto will take over Firefly Books stall while there will be vintage and homemade gifts for sale including bespoke pieces of art, handmade jewellery, Christmas tree soap, Rajistani slippers, records, comic books, homemade tote bags, organic skincare, and Alpaca wool to make the perfect jumper or scarf.

The streets will be also alive with carol singing from local choirs while a programme of musicians and buskers will be singing Christmas favourites across on December 15 and 22.

Damian Patchell, market manager for the Chatsworth Road Trust Residents Association (CRTRA), said: “This festive season Chatsworth Road Market is all about traditional Christmas fun. We’ve got real reindeer who will be making a special guest appearance, a full programme of family entertainment and music to invoke the true Christmas spirit and some of the best food producers in London to make sure your larder is fully stocked. As Hackney’s best Sunday market, we’d encourage the local community to spend local this Christmas and those from further afield to come and enjoy the free fun.”
