Sawn-off shotgun and ammo found as teens arrested in Stoke Newington
Clissold Park cordoned off and searched.
A SAWN-off shotgun and two rounds of ammunition were seized by police while three teenagers were arrested during a search in Clissold Park.
CCTV operators at Hackney Council spotted a group of young men behaving suspiciously at around 1025pm on Thursday night in Queen Elizabeth’s Walk, Stoke Newington and contacted police.
Officers swooped on the area and an 18-year-old was arrested.
The rest of the group fled into Clissold Park which police then sealed off and searched.
A bag containing a sawn-off shotgun and two rounds of ammunition was found and secured shortly after.
Two 18-year-olds were later arrested in Brownswood Road. All three suspects were taken to an east London police station.
