The club thanked fans for ‘supporting the team at Wembley Stadium during what has been a challenging time’

Tottenham Hotspur announced on Monday they would freeze season-ticket prices for the 2019/20 campaign.

Fans were expecting to be supporting the team inside the club’s new 62,062-seater stadium this season, but delays meant they have spent the majority of the term calling Wembley Stadium ‘home’.

It led to dwindling attendances at the Brent venue, although fans were able to get their money back for games they didn’t attend.

Spurs are almost ready to finally return home to N17 with the stadium set to open on Wednesday, April 3.

It means Tottenham fans will get to watch five league matches at the new ground and at least one Champions League clash.

Looking ahead to next season, supporters will be charged the same prices they were for this 2018/19 campaign.

An official club statement read: “The club can announce that we shall be freezing the prices of all season tickets for the 2019/20 season.

“We should like to thank our season ticket holders for bearing with us and supporting the team at Wembley Stadium during what has been a challenging time. We acknowledge the inconvenience caused by this unique set of circumstances.

“Season ticket renewals will open on Tuesday, April 22 with the final deadline for renewals being Friday, May 17. Full details on payment options will be communicated nearer the time.”

Tottenham have also revealed their matchday ticketing details for the remaining five league games.

A statement added: “There is a broad range of price points available for our supporters across the stadium starting from £30 for adults with concession rates (Juniors and Senior Citizens) starting from £15, while pricing for our Young Adult category starts from £22.50.”

Spurs also reminded fans tickets may only be transferred by either selling them on the club’s ticket exchange online platform or transferring them via ticket share.

The N17 club insisted any supporters found to have sold their ticket other ways would be subject to action from the club.

Some fans unable to make the curtain-raiser against Crystal Palace next month have attempted to sell their tickets through different platforms.
