Spooks actress Laila Rouass mixed with Hackney residents on Saturday at the St Joseph’s Hospice Christmas bazaar.

The star of Strictly Come Dancing and Footballers’ Wives wanted to “giving something back” to the hospice in Mare Street, where her childhood friend spent her last few days.

“The care and support they gave her and her family was amazing,” said Rouass who also met patients and Father Christmas.

“I’m pleased to give something back to one of the most deserving organisations in east London—it’s a fantastic charity.”

Selling clothing, bags, shoes, books, jewellery, children’s toys and bric-a-brac, the hospice made an incredible £21,000.
