Gang police are investigating a stabbing that left a man in hospital on Saturday night.

Officers were called to Gore Road near Victoria Park at 8.15pm and the victim was taken to hospital with shoulder injuries, though they are not thought to be life threatening.

No arrests have been made and detectives continue to investigate.
