Undercover police in Stamford Hill had a shock last night when they were offered some suspected stolen meat while on a stake-out.
Officers arrested a man at about 2am after he had approached them to see if they wanted some lamb steaks and other cuts from Marks and Spencer.
They then took to Twitter to say: “Silly sausage only went and offered the crew of the undercover car a bag of believed stolen meat. He wasn’t happy to meat us! #seized.”
