Stoke Newington Police Station is throwing open its doors this Sunday to allow the public a rare, and behind-the-scenes glimpse at what goes on inside.
The event is part of a London-wide initiative encouraged by Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe who wants the Met to be open and accountable to the public.
While children will get to dress up in police uniform and meet giant police mascot PC Connie, senior police officers will be on hand to discuss policing in the borough.
Public Order officers will have their kit on display, and as part of the trading places programme cyclists can sit in a HGV to see how hard it is for lorry drivers to see them.
There will also be free bike marking, and the chance to look at a police motorbike and meet police dogs at the event in Stoke Newington High Street which runs from 10am to 2pm.
