Swastika signs have been left at a children’s playground in Stamford Hill for four consecutive days.
The Nazi symbols have been scrawled on pieces of paper and placed around the playground, which is in an area with a high Jewish population and near a care home where Holocaust survivors live.
Volunteer-led neighbourhood watch group Shomrim first reported the finds to police on Tuesday and they have been repeated every day since.
Parents have now told their children not to go to the playground over fears neo-Nazis are loitering in the area.
Shulem Stern from Stamford Hill Shomrim said: “There’s a sense of anxiety and fear amongst local parents. The playground neighbours a Jewish care home where many elderly Jewish residents live, some of them Holocaust survivors. It’s a mindless act, I hope the ones responsible are caught and brought to justice.”
The anti-Semitic act comes weeks after a Jewish man from Stamford Hill had eggs pelted at his car in the Blackwall Tunnel.
And in March, Uber driver Rashal Miah was found guilty of racially aggravated assault for shouting “kill all the Jews” at a school bus driver in the area.
In December, it was revealed that anti-Semitic crime had risen by 87 per cent in Hackney in a year.
Stamford Hill police officer Sgt Alex Bloxham said the swastika graffiti was “absolutely not acceptable” and asked anyone with information to get in touch via 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
