Lucas Moura and Moussa Sissoko are both in contention for the Stamford Bridge clash

Spurs provided a positive update on the fitness of three first-teamers ahead of Thursday’s League Cup semi-final second leg with Chelsea.

Lucas Moura, Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama have all returned to training and it seems the first two could feature at Stamford Bridge.

Wanyama is unlikely to play against the Blues, but he could make a long-awaited return in the FA Cup on Sunday when Tottenham Hotspur travel to Crystal Palace.

The Kenya captain has been plagued by a knee injury for a lengthy period of time and he last played for Spurs in the 1-0 Premier League win at the Eagles on November 10.

Although he is not expected to face Chelsea on Thursday, Sissoko and in particular Moura will play.

Mauricio Pochettino has been without the Brazilian since he sustained a knee issue in the 7-0 victory at Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup on January 4.

He appeared to be over the problem last weekend, but Spurs protected Moura’s fitness by leaving him out of the squad to face Fulham.

Now the 26-year-old is fit again, he can expect to start from the off at Chelsea and could be the most attacking player on the pitch for the Lilywhites.

Sissoko is a more delicate case and Tottenham will be reluctant to rush him back too soon in case of a setback.

The French midfielder pulled up during the 1-0 league loss at home to Manchester United on January 13 and was expected to miss around 10-14 days.

He has now returned to training, but may have to settle for a place on the bench in the cup tie with the north Londoners preparing to play three games in the space of six days.

Elsewhere, the news on Harry Kane and Dele Alli is the same as previously with the duo expected to be out until March.

Both players have started initial stages of rehabilitation, but the England stars will be out with ankle and hamstring injuries respectively for at least a month.

Fellow attacker Heung-min Son is also absent as he continues to play for South Korea at the Asian Cup.
