Entrepreneurs will debate whether big businesses are bad at innovation at a meet-up in Shoreditch next Tuesday.

The event is one of the thought-provoking, quarterly meetings organised by The Albion Society, which see cultural commentators, marketers and entrepreneurs discuss controversial business topics.

Gav Thompson, the creator of giffgaff and the global director of insights and innovation at Telefonica, Alex Scandurra who created Barclays Pingit, and Will King, the founder of King of Shaves will discuss why the corporate environment is often an enemy of innovation, and the tactics the companies that do get it right have employed to improve their performance.

Welcome drinks at the free event at BL-NK in East Road, Hoxton will be served at 6.30pm and the discussion will start at 7pm.
