Time’s running out to show Hackney you’ve got the ‘X-factor’

If you think you’re the next big singing sensation, you need to register by Saturday January 8 for the borough’s ‘I’m In’ talent contest.

Auditions take place for the ITV X-Factor style talent show on Saturday January 15 in Hoxton Hall in Hoxton Street, and you need to register by Saturday January 8 to take part.

Discover Young Hackney wants to find five 13-19 year old singers to headline in the ‘I’m In’ talent contest on 4 February 2011 - the official launch of Discover Young Hackney 2011, the borough’s free youth arts and culture festival.

Cllr Jonathan McShane, Hackney Council Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “Hackney is full of talented young people, and the ‘I’m In’ talent contest gives you an opportunity to get on stage and show an audience what you’ve got.
