An award-winning conductor is launching a free community choir in Hackney Wick – just in time for Christmas.

Hannah Brine will launch Wick Singers at the Trowbridge Centre for singers of all ages.

The four-session programme is backed by the Wick Award, allowing it to be free of charge. The group will stage a performance on December 8 at the venue.

Hannah, who also conducts the Victoria Park Singers and has formed choirs to perform at the Royal Albert Hall, on TV and at the Royal Variety Performance, said: “I am thrilled to be able to bring singing to the Hackney Wick community at this festive time of year. I’m looking forward to making fantastic music with local residents and enabling everyone to feel the benefit of singing together.”

Booking is essential for the sessions, which will run from 4pm to 5pm on November 17, 24, December 1 and 8. Click here to book.
