Traffic diversions in Stamford Hill tomorrow for Jewish festival of Purim

Diversions will be in place in Stamford Hill on Saturday for the Jewish festival of Purim on Saturday.

There will be no entry to Craven Walk via Clapton Common; Ashtead Road via Spring Hill; and Lingwood Road via Craven Walk and the junction at Castlewood Road.

The restrictions will be in place between 9am and 5pm.

Purim is an annual celebration which marks deliverance from being killed by Hamam, royal vizier to King Ahasuerus (presumed to be Xerxes I of Persia). The day will be celebrated with dancing and singing in the streets.
