Two men escaped from a blaze at a derelict house in Clapton Common last night.
Fire crews were called to the property at 12.10am after part of the ground floor had gone up in flames. The two men managed to get out before the brigade arrived and the blaze was brought under control by 1.20am.
Twenty-one firefighters from Stoke Newington, Tottenham and Homerton attended.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
