Firefighters rescued two men from a burning house in South Hackney yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
Half of the first floor of the three storey building in Moulins Road was damaged by the blaze, which broke out shortly before 4.15pm.
Two men, who were helped from inside the house, were treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire was under control at 4.53pm. Its cause is under investigation.
