Update: Woman struck by unmarked police car in Dalston

A pedestrian left fighting for her life after she was struck by an unmarked police car on "blues and twos" in Dalston is now in a stable condition.

The 22-year old woman was taken to a central London hospital following the collision in Kingsland Road, at the junction with Ridley Road at 11.30pm on Saturday night.

She remains in a serious but stable condition.

The police vehicle had its emergency lights on and was on its way to an incident before the collision.

The matter has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission for consideration.

No arrests have been made, and enquires are continuing.
