Vote for your favourite artwork in Stoke Newington art gallery’s winter competition
Screen printing workshops and Christmas art market also on offer
A Stoke Newington art gallery is inviting people to vote for their favourite artwork in a winter exhibition.
Artist-run gallery, Basket House Village Universe (BHVU) in Leswin Place, has chosen paintings, prints, photography, sculptural-installations and drawings from over 40 artists.
Members of the public are invited to try their hand at screen printing on Sundays, with the chance to design and print their own Christmas cards with the assistance of artist and printmaker, Fiona Hepburn.
A Christmas art market will run for four weekends from Saturday November 27 and Sunday November 28, alongside the Winter Open exhibition.
Hand-made and original pieces will be on sale, including jewellery, ceramics and cards, with stalls changing from week to week.
BHVU is a not for profit gallery run entirely by practising artists, which has put on seven curated exhibitions since it opened in February.
