Sandro says his new year’s resolution is to lift a trophy with his Spurs team-mates, and he feels there is every chance of doing so in the Europa League or the FA Cup.
Tottenham will face Lyon in the 32 of the Europa League next month and are currently preparing to host Coventry in the third round of the Cup on Saturday – and Sandro believes the Lilywhites are strong contenders in both tournaments.
“We spoke about this before the season – we have to win a trophy this year and at this moment we are in a good place,” said the Brazilian.
“We’ve qualified [for the knock-outs] in the Europa League so we have a good opportunity to win that competition, and the FA Cup is coming as well now. We have to continue to play well, we have to continue to fight.”
