West Ham striker Freddie Sears has joined Scunthorpe United on a loan for a month.
The 20-year-old striker told the Advertiser just last week he was desperate to play first team football and it seems that request has been heeded by boss Avram Grant.
Sears has found himself well down in the pecking order at Upton Park and has only made one substitute appearance in the league this term.
The striker goes straight into United’s squad for tonight’s match against preston and will wear the number 10 shirt.
