A woman cut out of her car following a smash-up in De Beauvoir at the junction of Downham Road with Southgate Road is being treated in hospital.

The accident happened at 1pm today in the middle of the traffic light junction.
Police, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade were called to the scene.

A 35-year-old woman was taken to an east London hospital, while a child and a 30-year-old woman were treated at the scene.

Road closures are still in place at North Church Road, and the junction is entirely blocked to traffic.

Police are investigating.
