A new art exhibition in Hackney is open to the public with photographs depicting women in a new light from all walks of life.
Every photograph taken during the past six months has been taken in the streets of the borough by French photographer Aurélie Lagoutte.
All models in Lilly’s Birdcage have been cast by the French photographer in Hackney too.
The photographic exhibition on female nudity aims to present vulnerability as strength.
Prior to taking up photography, Aurélie had wanted to pose as a nude model but rarely appreciated the end result.
The exhibition at Unit G Gallery in Collent Street, central Hackney, is a new art space which organises exhibitions and shows at the gallery and online.
The gallery hopes to develop and encourage a broader range of awareness for the various types of art created in the east end of London.
The exhibition is open every Thursday – Saturday, between 12.30pm – 5.30 pm until January 31.
Appointments can be made out of hours by contacting the gallery on 020 7148 1840.
