A Woodberry Down charity has clearly struck a chord with bank bosses after it was handed a £5,000 grant to fund music equipment for the disadvantaged kids it supports.
Kids N’ Action was presented with the cheque by the Santander Foundation, which gives cash to like-minded projects across the UK.
The charity works to relieve poverty, advance education and promote good health and runs out of school activities looking to reduce social exclusion.
The money will pay for equipment for the 65 14 to 16-year-olds so they can develop their music skills and study for exams to gain ABRSM* accreditation.
The charity’s project coordinator Chani Rapaport said: “The grant will make a huge difference to the participants in the project. We are so excited about the opportunities it will offer.”
Ashraf Hussain of Santander in Finsbury Park said he hoped the money would make a difference.
