Two days of free, wildlife-themed events takes place at Woodberry Wetlands this weekend, to celebrate a year since the nature reserve was opened to the public by Sir David Attenborough.
Workshops on Saturday and Sunday include wildlife photography, bird sculpture, and identifying birdsong and there will be guided walks about wild foods and medicines, birds and identifying plants and trees.
Family workshops will be themed on bats, swifts, and dragonflies.
London Wildlife Trust’s director of conservation, Mathew Frith, will chair debates on the issues birds are facing in London.
A live music stage from the Nest Collective will feature folk, world and new music.
There will also be a birds of prey display and a beekeeping demonstration.
The main entrance is in Lordship Road at the junction with the New River Path.
