Budding musicians are being invited to perform at a special ‘young people’s venue’ at this month’s Stoke Newington Music Festival.

Stretching from Stamford Hill to the end of the High Street, the festival takes place from October 23 – 25, with a line-up of some of the most exciting bands playing in the UK today while promoting local talent and renowned venues including two historic churches.

Raising money for the sexual health charity Brook, the festival will features traditional music in restaurants to hip hop DJ sets, guitar bands, street dancers, reggae performers plus many more.

This year the festival has an under-18s venue in St Paul’s Church, Stoke Newington High Street, which will be produced by and for under-18s, to showcase young musical talent from performers on stage to sound engineers and back-stage organisers.

Solo vocal acts, rap and spoken word performers, rock bands and group instrumentalists are all welcome to play during the evenings on Friday and Saturday.
