Talented teenagers and kids came from across London to perform in a talent showcase organised by Hackney youth club The Crib.

The 18th annual Boroughs United performance saw singers, dance groups, MCs and rappers aged nine to 19 performing on the Hackney Empire stage.

Organisers say the show encourages collaboration between young Londoners, promotes their positive achievements and takes a stand against gun and knife crime.

Chair of The Crib Frank Sweeney said: “It is inspirational to see the great achievements made by the young project team and their contribution to The Crib’s peace campaign to end serious youth violence continues.

“Each year the level of youth leadership increases in the planning and delivery of Boroughs United, to the extent where it is now fully youth-led.”
