Hackney Wick earned the bragging rights with victory over Tower Hamlets in their Thurlow Nunn League clash.

After a 17-day break between games, first-half goals from Piotr Maslowski and Solaiman Nakmouche put Wick on top in the Division One South derby.

Mustapha Alex Mansaray replied after the restart, but it turned out to be only a consolation as Justin Domfeh, Leonarda Pola Lopete and Darren Esuka also struck for the home side to seal their 5-1 win.

Hutton were also celebrating after Nana Adarkwa and Freddie Gard found the net in a 2-0 victory at St Margaretsbury, which lifted them up to third place in the table.

And Clapton Community claimed a late 1-1 draw with Cannons Wood at the Old Spotted Dog thanks to an equaliser from Joel Akuwudike.

Fred Agyemang put Barkingside into an early lead at high-flying Harlow Town, but the hosts hit back before half-time in another 1-1 draw.

And Newbury Forest had to settle for a point from a 2-2 draw at bottom club NW London, where Joshua Duyile and Ansa-Effiom Edem were their marksmen.

A brace from Akiljo Balliu proved in vain for Clapton, though, as they fell to a 5-2 defeat at Southend Manor.

Attention turns to the Essex Senior Cup on Tuesday as Clapton Community host Little Oakley, May & Baker take on Takeley, Newbury Forest welcome Dunmow Town and Barkingside head to Stanway Pegasus.

Meanwhile, Hackney Wick are back in league action at Brimsdown on Wednesday, when Hutton host Basildon Town in the Essex Senior Cup.
