Stoke Newington cruiserweight Lawrence Okolie punched too hard for Manchester’s Adam Williams at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday.
Fighting on a Matchroom promotion organised by Eddie Hearn, Okolie came out throwing stiff jabs from the start and had Williams covering up.
Williams did well to survive until round three, when a left hook by Okolie dropped the Mancunian, and despite beating the count, referee Reece Cartwright stopped the fight.
“Another win in a different city,” said Okolie. “I hope to be fighting again on the Matchroom show in London on December 17.
