Lee Heneghan’s late volley sealed holders FC Bartlett’s place in the Albert Daniels Cup final as they came from behind to beat RL United 2-1.

Matty Harris gave RL the lead early in the second half, but Nze Onyekwe equalised and Heneghan settled the tie to boost Bartlett’s hopes of adding the trophy to their league title.

Niva-Unistream now stand between Bartlett and a second successive cup triumph, having edged out fellow Premier Division side Black Meteors 3-2 in the other semi-final.

Constantin Tronciu, Maks Voloskin and Roman Zelenin were all on the mark for Niva, with Richard Ofusu netting both goals for Meteors.

The third round of the Jack Walpole Cup also got under way, with Premier Division outfit Phoenix progressing following their 10-0 demolition of City Fliers.

Troy Berring netted a first-half hat-trick as Shakespeare overcame third tier side FC Duchess 5-2, with Terry Butler adding a second-half brace. Joe Rickwood and Scott Pond replied for Duchess.

Birkbeck Orient closed the gap on Division Three leaders City Fliers to two points following their 3-1 victory over third-placed Shoreditch Fire Penguins.

Maynell replace previous leaders Top Red, who tumbled to a 6-2 defeat by Eastway Olympia. Daniel Little grabbed four of Eastway’s goals, with Jason Gardner and Stephan Boyce-Hall also on target.
