That was from fifth placed Lancresse Rangers from De Beauvoir who took the new Romanian side, several of whom are Hackney based, all the way in a 2-1 win for the leaders.
They had to thank goals from Antonio Mieroi and the league's top scorer Ionut Coropceanu for victory, Roman Klement got the Lancresse reply.
The only unbeaten side in the division is Stoke Newington's Army & Navy and they had an easy morning against a nine man Gascoyne side from South Hackney. A & N won 8-0 with Phillip Slade netting a hat-trick, Dean Francis two and a goal each from Tony Scully and James McDonald and an own goal.
Mile End were 3-0 up against lowly Midfield in their meeting, thanks to goals from Abraham Mahmood, Chris Lewis and James Morris. But Midfield battled back to take a point in a 3-3 draw, Ben Achampong, Stephen Rigione and Daniel Pigott completing the revival.
Marvin Patterson got the only goal of the game as Club 93 overcame London Aprilia and moved up to third in the table. FC Metwin moved off the foot of the table with a 4-1 win over Wounded Knee thanks to goals from Stephen Prince (2), Tommy Mayers and Courtney Parkinson. Andy Matyo got Knee's goal.
In the Premier Division, Lapton took advantage of Clapton Rangers' inactivity to stretch their lead at the top to four points with a 3-0 win over Black Meteors courtesy of goals from Dean Robinson, Jason Elliott and Daniel Stephenson.
Old King John's Head are third and were involved in a goalless draw with Eureka on Sunday, while the improving Bancroft United continue to march up the table with a 2-1 success over Red Devils, both Bancroft goals coming from Kodier Gama penalties.
A very strong second-half showing from Albion Manor saw them triumph 5-1 against Three Compasses, the Goldsmiths Row side netted four in the second-half. Darren Whelan (2), Tony Walker (2) and Allan Mullen counted for Albion.
There were two outstanding games at the top of Div 2. Leaders Delta just came out on top in clash with Hospital Tavern in a seven goal thriller. Delta's four came from a Dave Armstrong hat-trick, including a penalty and an own goal. Danny Young, Dean Bail and Lee Spence were on the mark for the Tavern.
The other big clash in the division saw FC Highstone revive their promotion hopes with a 3-2 success against Athletico Angels. Highstone move third thanks to Chris Chika, Bradley Piper and Phil Melling scoring. Top scorer Ashley Green got both Angels' goals.
Old George E2 beat AFC Scorpions 3-2 thanks to Jason Cann-Woode (2) and Keith Harrison, while Leyton Trades Res and FC Lockers drew 2-2 , Phil Ellerby bagging both Lockers' goals.
Hoxton Foxes stay top of Div 3 after a top-of-the-table victory over Tottenham Phoenix 4-2. Calum Holman (2), Dan Ware and Tom Spencer netted for the Foxes, Warren Clarke and Brian Jarvis replied for Phoenix.
There was a four goal performance from Wenlock Arms' Necious Actil as his side beat Hackney borough rivals Maynell, 4-2.
Big Kahuna move second with a 4-1 success against Jay Cubed, thanks to goals from Simon and Richard Pook, Dan Lewis and Dan Dalla while Lammas were 3-2 winners over The Aberfeldy.
In Division 4 leaders FC Storm didn't have to lace up their boots as Ravenscroft failed to fulfil the fixture and Storm were awarded the points.
Second placed AC Islington were 3-2 winners over Baris Sports, while East London move third after beat Regents Park Rovers 2-1 thanks to goals from Eric Akurang and Jag Phull. Florist Arms were beaten by a Darly Barclay double as they went down to Cock Tavern.
