Spurs Ladies prepare for life in the Super League

Karen Hills’ team had their licence for the top flight awarded on Friday
Tottenham Hotspur Women, as they will be known from the start of next season, will be in the FA Women's Super League for the 2019/20 campaign.
The club confirmed the news on Friday that Spurs Ladies had been awarded a licence for the top flight of women's football by the Football Association (FA).
After Karen Hills' team secured second spot in the FA Women's Championship, they applied to be part of the Super League for the 2019/20 campaign and got accepted on Friday.
To celebrate, they were welcomed onto the pitch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during half time of Sunday's Premier League game with Everton.
A day earlier, Hills and her squad had made the lengthy journey up north to take on Durham Women, who had been rivals for promotion.
A brace by Anna Filbey ensured Tottenham ended the season with a 2-0 win to finish with 46 points, five ahead of Charlton Athletic Women.
