Clapton Rangers made amends for last season’s Jack Walpole Cup final defeat with a 2-0 win over Mustard FC to lift the trophy for the third time in five years.

Nathan Scarborough gave Clapton the lead early in the second half from the penalty spot following a foul on Ashley Taylor-Forbes.

And Scarborough then doubled his side’s advantage on the hour- mark, turning his marker on the edge of the area before rifling into the bottom corner. Rangers midfielder Ade Cole was named man of the match for his driving runs and pinpoint passing.

Phoenix clinched the Premier Division title after a tense 3-2 win over defending champions Black Meteors thanks to goals from Tyron Husbands, Valen McKay and Mario Serwin, with Enoch Boateng grabbing two for Meteors.

Niva-Unistream overcame last week’s surprise Gazette Cup final defeat with a 3-1 win over Red Devils to move into second place.

Maks Voloshin bagged two and Y Ickiv sealed the win, before Dean Phillips pulled one back.

In Division One, table-toppers Railway Tavern were derailed by a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Phoenix, with Grace Ndinma scoring two and Christian Smith and Jeromine Anglin also finding the net.

And FC Polit moved into joint second place with Mustard FC thanks to Rida Knight’s winner in a 1-0 win over Shakespeare FC.

Division Two leaders Highfield FC thumped Hackney Gazette Cup winners FC Status 6-0, with David O’Milligan netting two and Henri Bruno, Marcus Renford, Ike Albonly and Tony Nweze scoring the rest.

Emrah Coskungomil’s hat-trick helped Dynamics to move into second place after an 8-2 thumping of Jay Cubed.

Ibrahim Sal and Ferhat Bilgill both bagged braces for Dynamics before Metin Bayrom completed the rout.

Two goals from Paul Maxwell and a John Yates strike gave Azzuri 1 a 3-1 win over Athletico Angels to make it an impressive 27 points out of a possible 33 since December.

Steve Beckles, Tom Martin, Raymond Richardson and Delroy Durrant ensured Walthamstow Village remain at the top of Division Three with a 4-1 win against Stratford Athletic.

And Angel & Crown moved into second with a 5-2 win over Wenlock Arms thanks to Callum Ellis’ double, while Delta Athletic moved into fourth spot after a 5-2 win over FC Walthamstow, with two from Ricki Hennissey helping them to victory.

Birkbeck Orient sealed the Division Four title thanks to a 6-1 win over Eastway Olympia, with Miles Creeny, Dan Mpasi, Dave Corck-Adelman, Harry Raymond and Ryan Gray all finding the net.

Jamie Correy’s brace helped Maddigan’s move into second place after a close 4-3 win over Wojak Sunday, while Magnell won 4-0 against 10-man Leyton Manor and FC Haggerston beat Bow Badgers 3-1.
