Mauricio Pochettino will hopefully have Hugo Lloris and Harry Winks available for the visit of Chris Hughton's team

Hugo Lloris could be back in goal for Spurs when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion this evening at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The club captain and first-choice goalkeeper missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Premier League champions Manchester City.

Paulo Gazzaniga deputised for Lloris, but was unable to prevent another narrow loss at the Etihad to Pep Guardiola's side.

Spurs will also hope to have midfielder Harry Winks involved after his recent absence due to a groin injury.

The England international has been sorely missed in the defeats to City, but could be part of the squad after he has seen some improvement with regard to his rehabilitation of late.

Moussa Sissoko will be on the sidelines though, with his groin problem likely to keep him out of the team until next month.

Pochettino will hope he can be back for the Champions League semi-final second leg in Amsterdam on May 8, but the Frenchman is unlikely to feature again in April.

The news on Erik Lamela and Serge Aurier (both hamstring) is more elusive, although they are not expected to be involved against Brighton.

Spurs boss Pochettino is likely to recall Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier to his starting XI as well as Victor Wanyama.

After Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all dropped points over the weekend, the Lilywhites will be desperate to take advantage of their top-four rivals slipping up.

Victory tonight, which would be a fourth straight home win, would set Tottenham up nicely for a run of three consecutive games at their new 62,062-seater venue.
