Hackney Jedis Under-25s put on a stunning display at the Copper Box Arena to defeat Enfield Kings 61-14 in the Community Basketball League.
Hackney moved the ball well throughout and Dimeji Okanlawan opened up the game by scoring 10 points alone in the first quarter, helping the Jedis to a 38-32 lead at the halfway point.
Despite Enfield’s best attempts to lock down their opponents, Austin Fagbola, Jay Rico and Tosin Omope all scored two-pointers in the last quarter as the Jedis finished with a 47-point victory.
Rico, who was named MVP following the dominant win at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park venue, said: “I believe I helped my team by playing the role of a good floor leader.
“We’re having a great season as a club – we’re in the play-offs and our Under-18 team have made the final four.”
