Previously unbeaten Division Three leaders Birkbeck Orient suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 4-2 against Division Four outfit Maynell FC in the first round of the Jack Morgan Cup.

Daniel Monero struck twice, with Lee Brown and David Bodnar also registering for Maynell, while Mike Long scored both goals for Birkbeck.

Division Two side Bristow City won 6-2 against Division Four’s Leyton Manor, with Pat Maxwell and Mark Amono both hitting hat-tricks for the victors and Cad Bach replying with a brace.

Forest Athletic also progressed to the next round with a 4-1 win over Stratford Athletic. Luke Cato hit a double for Forest alongside goals for Benjamin Nwofor and Aaron Johnson, and Steve Woodford struck a consolation.

FC Duchess defeated fellow Division Three side Wenlock Arms 3-0, with second-half goals from Aaron Hogarth (2) and Joe Rickwood.

Dan Keotlane and Johnny Devenney were on target as Boston Celtics edged out fellow Division Four outfit Haggerston FC 2-1, with S Anjavin getting the Haggerston goal.

Division Four team Eastway Olympia caused an upset by defeating Division Three’s Regents Park Roverts 5-2, thanks to a Daniel Little hat-trick and further goals by Jason Gardner and Peter Christian. Sam George and Paul Morris registered for Rovers.

Division Three side City Fliers edged out Division Two’s Football Club 22 in a thrilling 4-3 win. Steve McCullagh, Andy Shaw and Andrew Welsh scored for City, who conceded goals to Stewart Richardson (2) and Anton Belgrave – but Matt Stevens hit a late winner for the Fliers.

Division Two leaders Athletico Angels won 8-1 against Division Three’s Bocca Albion. Striker Ashley Green scored four times, while James Brockbank netted a brace and Chris McKillion and Daniel Green also chipped in for the Angels – and Sam Norris scored Bocca’s consolation goal.

Division Two’s Angel & Crown edged out Division Four’s Leyton Orient Fans Trust 3-1. George Martin scored in the first half for Angel, while Rob Crane registered for Orient, but Danny Cole and Charlie Barrett notched two late decisive goals.

Division Two side North London Muslim FC needed an 80th-minute goal by Bosen Abuk to progress to the second round, winning 1-0 against Division Four’s Wojak Sunday.

Meanwhile, in the Premier Division, Korah Cook gave second-placed Mustard FC a first-half lead against pacesetters Phoenix, but Ashley Thorbes equalised midway through the second period and the game ended 1-1.

Niva-Unistream and Black Meteors shared the spoils in a thrilling 3-3 draw. C Ironciu, Maks Voloskin and I Melesco were on target for Niva, while Enoch Boateng scored twice and Richard Owusu replied for Meteors.

Tottenham Phoenix won 6-1 against RL United with goals by Ruel Gibson (2), Christian Smith, Jerome Anglin, Messiah Odinma and Grace Ndinga, while Matthew Harris scored for United.

FC Bartlett thrashed Red Devils 6-0, with Shaun Hinds scoring twice and Travan St-Prix, Kze Onyetwe, Mark Begin and Isaac Fletcher completing the rout.

In Division One, leaders Dynamics FC won 6-3 against Wounded Knee, with a hat-trick from Emrah Coskungonul, a brace from Ibrahim Sal and a further goal from Ibrahim Sal junior. Jason Reid, John Bray and Russell Hughes were on target for Wounded Knee.

FC Polit won 4-1 against Hackney FC with a treble from J Moore and a goal from J Andrews, while Sallid Kaffia replied for Hackney.

Homerton FC stay in second place after sharing the spoils with Newcresse Rangers in a 3-3 draw. Jamie Cox, Tope Oliateju and Dennis Birch were on target for Newcresse, while Lee Greenaway, Tim Teshoso and Sanchez registered for Homerton.

Shakespeare FC stay a point behind Homerton in third after a 5-0 win over Highfield FC thanks to goals by Tro Deering (2), Sacha Prigg, George Ockley and Paul Andrew.

Elsewhere, in the first round of the London FA Intermediate Cup, Albion Manor crashed out after losing 4-0 to Poplar Boys.
