Hackney teenager Frank Arnold is looking to pay the bills with his fists, writes Matthew Bozeat.
The 18-year-old Arnold is currently studying a business course at Hackney Community College – but the super-bantamweight wants boxing to be his full-time job in the future.
“I want to win belts, earn money and make a living from boxing,” he said ahead of his second professional fight on promoter Mickey Helliet’s show at the York Hall in Bethnal Green on Saturday, February 10.
“That’s my goal and I’m working hard in the gym to get there.”
Arnold is trained and managed by East End fight guru Johnny Eames at West Ham Boys’ Club and the youngster says that he is making big improvements under his tutelage.

“I used to beat them up in the first round, get tired and then they would come back.”
The bright young talent believes he’s a completely different boxer now thanks to his new training regime under his new coach.
“I’m a different fighter now,” Arnold added.
“I get good sparring and I’m much, much fitter.”
The former Lion ABC member has made a good start to his professional career as he knocked out Kieran Holman in the fourth round on his debut at York Hall earlier this month.
“I have an aggressive style,” he said. “I like to control the pace.”
The Hackney youngster will now be hoping he can make it two wins from two since turning professional at the start of the year.
Arnold will get the opportunity to do so at a show that is topped by an eliminator for the Commonwealth super-lightweight championship between Leytonstone-based Philip Bowes and Vusumzi Tyatyeka.
Dagenham cruiserweight Robin Dupre is also on the bill for the show.
Tickets are available from York Hall or by calling 07465 768345.
