Hackney & Leyton League Division Two side Haggerston caused a shock in the second round of the Dickie Davies Cup as they beat Premier Division outfit RL United 3-2.

Peter Moncur and Sam Angurin put Haggerston ahead and, although RL equalised thanks to goals from Matthew Harris and Vas Soplyuk, Moncur hit the winner with his second of the game.

Premier Division side Phoenix ran out 3-0 winners against Division One leaders Forest Athletic with two first-half goals by Gio Falzone. T. Dowsett sealed Phoenix’s victory midway through the second half.

In the second round of the Jack Walpole Cup, Premier Division team Tottenham Phoenix won 6-0 against Birkbeck Orient A, with braces goals from Menlick Richards, Jerome Anglin and Michael Boateng.

But another Premier Division side, FC Bartlett, needed penalties to overcome Division One’s Lions FC.

Nze Ongekkelela and Amor Mclean struck for Bartlett while Darius Motac and Kevin Crehan were on target for Lions, leaving the scores at 2-2 after 90 minutes. Extra time failed to produce a goal and FC Bartlett won 3-2 on spot-kicks.

Mustard FC from the Premier Division won 2-0 against Division One’s Highfield FC. Mustard led at half-time thanks to a superb volley by Greg Moorse and, although Highfield pressed for an equaliser, Mustard stood firm and Tom Mcghee sealed their win with an 85th-minute header.

Division Three side Boroughs United edged out Division Two’s FC Grove 3-2 after strikes from Jordan Lynch-Maran, Denzel Reid and Leonard. Jason Orr and Lee Soutcott replied for Grove.

Premier Division sides New Kuiba and Niva-Unistream were level at 2-2 after 90 minutes but Niva sealed their place in the next round with two goals in extra time to run out 4-2 winners.

Chris Nwusus and Max Volosin both hits doubles for Kuba, while P Gnatuk and V Chumt were on target for Niva.

A Jason Borwood hat-trick secured a 3-1 win for Premier Division team Mile End against Division Two side Shoreditch Fire Penguins, with T Collins getting the Shoreditch goal.

Division Three’s Chapel United hammered Division Two’s Bg United 7-0, with four goals by Joe Seabrook, and one apiece from Chris Mulrog, Sam Jones and Johnny Monereo.

Division Two leaders Bristow City won 3-1 against Division One’s Wounded Knee with a brace by Toby Connor and a strike by Jordan Smith. Joshua Ademala replied for Knee.

In the first round of the Jack Morgan Cup, David Dice gave Division Four’s Renaissance an early lead against Division Three’s Top Red, who replied through Max Levy – and it was Levy who went on to grab the decisive winner in the second half of extra time.

In Division One, Athletico Angels won 2-1 against MDM United, with a goal in each half by Ashley Green and Sam Turpin. James Briggs was on target for MDM.

FC Krystal earned a 3-2 win over Dynamics FC with a brace from Solik and a goal from Koujcunjak, while Ibrahim Sal Jr scored both goals for Dynamics. Hackney All Stars won 5-0 against Heegan FC with goals from Quincey Roberts, Daniel Matthew, Sanchez Daniel, Darryh Morsou and Darrius Wynter.

Riviera FC edged out Newcresse 3-1 thanks to strikes by Oazmead Dauti, Igli Ojata and Antmir Karampolloi. Charlie Cox replied for Newcresse FC.

In Division Two, City Fliers lost the chance to close the gap on leaders Bristow City, losing 4-2 to Delta Athletic. Chris Dennehy and Mark Hennesey both struck doubles for Delta, while Sean Gross and Andrew Welsh scored the goals for the Fliers.

Angel & Crown won 5-1 against Walthamstow Village, with a hat-trick from Callum Ellis and a brace brace from Robert Townsend.
